One year after revamping its Galaxy S lineup, it seems like the mobile maker giant, Samsung will implement the similar strategy to the Galaxy A lineup. The freshly arisen leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) on Weibo revealed that the device would be rolling an Infinity Display like the Galaxy S8; Galaxy S8 Plus, and Note 8.
What’s not promptly obvious is the aspect ratio. While the Galaxy S and Note phones launched earlier this year using an 18.5:9 display ratio, initial leaks of the Galaxy A lineup subject to an 18:9 ratio. Notwithstanding, the images do explicate a larger display with curved edges, both features of Infinity Displays.
Samsung Galaxy A phones of the past have had the flagship-level design with mid-range innards. At this time, we don’t have substantial leaks on what specs we might see inside the Galaxy A8 Plus (2018). But, based on these leaked images, it seems like the design will recapitulate this trend.
One notable change we could have this year is the position of the fingerprint sensor. According to the recent leaks, the fingerprint sensor will be positioned more towards the center of the rear of the phone. Since the device has an Infinity Display, there will be no capacitive keys. In the Galaxy S series, Samsung has turned to on-screen keys and a fingerprint sensor close to the camera sensor. This directed to objections that it is difficult to locate precisely and calls for it to be pushed down like on the LG V30 and Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. If these leaks are right, it looks like Samsung is addressing this concern.
We shouldn’t have to wait for so long to find out if the rumors are true. The Galaxy A lineup has released in either December or January the last two years.
