As we look backward at mobile phones from the earlier couple of years, we can witness certain trends emerge. These vary from dual-camera compositions to bezel-free smartphone designs, ditching the headphone jack, and so on. The following pattern we mark might be the foldable design of smartphones. ZTE lately issued the Axon M, and we discern that Samsung is working hard on a foldable design too. So, who else is up to do so? If you presumed Huawei, you might be right; because according to reports Huawei Foldable phone might come next year.

Talking to CNET, Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei’s consumer group, confirmed that the company is currently striving to make a foldable smartphone. Though the work on the device is in the process, it’s not yet available for release.

Yu stated that it could be all set as soon as next year. But it demands a better, more bendable screen technology and involuntary design.

We have two screens. But we still have a small gap [between the screens]. That’s not good, and we should get rid of that gap.”

In addition to Huawei foldable phone, Yu has his visions placed on Apple and Samsung. Currently, Huawei holds the position of number three smartphone-maker in the world. But it’s not going to stop here. When questioned if Huawei will defy for the privilege of the biggest mobile phone manufacturer, the response was a booming “yes.”

“We will overtake them definitely. That’s our destiny. Maybe I’m not humble … but nobody can stop us.”

One domain that Huawei is considering to grow in is the United States. It does most of its patronage in Asia and Europe, so it has lots of room to develop here in the States.

If it’s aiming to take that number one place, grabbing a significant share of customers from Apple and Samsung in the US would be a great way to go about it. The company lately declared the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design in an effort to make it a road for its more comprehensive destination down the road.

It will be interesting to see how Huawei foldable phone will turn out and whether or not it could jockey the mobile maker giant of the present time, Samsung’s visionary bendable phone; coming probably the same year.
